Our Story

The Carnivore Bar was created because we saw a real need in the low carb, ancestral eating, and carnivore communities, for a more reliable way to eat while traveling and on-the-go. I'm Phillip Meece, the creator of the Carnivore Bar, and I come from a background as a combat medic for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. One of the most difficult parts of my deployment was lack of access to quality nutrition. Understandably, we had lots of convenient processed foods, which tend to be high in sugar and carbs and low in nutrients.

After my deployment I struggled with health problems, and eating an ancestral diet helped me to heal - but still the problem remained of portability in the food deserts of the world. My wife also travels a lot as a musician, so I spent a lot of time researching and testing out a solution that would work for both of us. We knew we weren't the only ones with this need, so we launched a Kickstarter to raise funds to scale up production, which allowed us to move from making the bars in our kitchen to a full-scale production facility.

We thank everyone who was part of the Kickstarter/pre-order for your support for making this product a reality. If you missed the Kickstarter, we appreciate you being here now and we're here to support you in your health journey.

Our Core Values

We believe that the human body functions at its apex when fueled by ancestral, animal-based nutrition.

We believe that shelf stable food does not have to be “junk food”; we use simple ingredients and cutting-edge science instead of fillers and preservatives.

We believe you shouldn’t have to be chained to your kitchen in order to feel and perform your best.

Our mission is to restore the wholeness of human health and vitality, by nourishing our bodies with what we were designed to eat. We strive to be a lifeline to healing and self-rediscovery.
