APEEL NOW OFFICIALLY APPROVED FOR ORGANIC PRODUCE IN THE U.S.

You read that right. Apeel—the Bill Gates-backed chemical coating originally designed to extend the shelf life of produce—has just been approved for use on organic fruits and vegetables in the United States.

You read that right. Apeel—the Bill Gates-backed chemical coating originally designed to extend the shelf life of produce—has just been approved for use on organic fruits and vegetables in the United States.

Let that sink in.

A product made with only 0.7% disclosed ingredients, and the rest hidden behind “proprietary” protections, is now allowed on foods with the organic label.
We’re officially past the point of parody.

1. Breaking: Apeel Now Allowed on Organics

Once again, corporate influence has overridden common sense. Apeel, developed by Apeel Sciences and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is now allowed on certified organic produce. What started as an idea to “reduce food waste” has morphed into a synthetic coating that’s being sprayed onto apples, cucumbers, limes, and avocados—even those you thought were organic and clean.

Organic used to mean without synthetic pesticides or chemicals. Now? It means whatever lobbyists can push through.

2. Apeel Is Designed to Preserve… But at What Cost?

On the surface, Apeel seems innocent: a plant-based coating to help reduce spoilage and keep produce fresher for longer. But under the microscope, it’s far from harmless.

Apeel creates an invisible, wax-like barrier around the fruit or vegetable, preventing oxygen and moisture exchange. Yes, it slows spoilage—but it also traps contaminants, locks in pesticide residues, and interferes with your body’s natural food recognition systems.

This isn’t “clean eating.” It’s high-tech shrink-wrap that tricks your senses—and bypasses your informed consent.

3. History Shows We Were Healthier Before This Man…

Let’s state the obvious: Bill Gates is not a farmer. Yet he’s the single largest private owner of farmland in the U.S., and he has poured millions into lab-grown meat, synthetic breast milk, and now, engineered produce coatings.

Look at any health trend graph since the mid-20th century. The more industrial tech we’ve allowed into our food system, the worse things have gotten:
Obesity up.
Chronic disease up.
Infertility up.
And somehow, he keeps showing up at the center of these trends.

4. Apeel Cannot Be Washed Off

One of the most concerning facts about Apeel is that you can’t wash it off. Not with water. Not with vinegar. Not even with scrubbing.

Why? Because it’s designed to bond molecularly to the surface of the produce, creating a “second skin” that mimics natural plant waxes. That might sound clever, but it’s a problem when consumers aren’t aware of what they’re eating—and can’t opt out.

You could be biting into a layer of unknown chemical residue… and have no idea it’s even there.

5. Apeel's Ingredients Are Hidden Behind a Curtain

Apeel publicly discloses just 0.7% of its formulation. The other 99.3%? Protected as a trade secret.

But independent lab analyses have already raised red flags. Trace amounts of lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and toxic preservatives have been found in the coating. These substances can bioaccumulate over time—damaging the liver, kidneys, brain, and reproductive system.

We’re not saying Apeel is a full-blown poison.
We’re saying: We don’t know what it is. And that’s the problem.

6. What Can You Do About It?

This is where you take back control.
Because while you can’t stop billionaires from funding fake food, you can vote with your dollars.

  • Shop at farmers markets. Ask about Apeel. Most small farms won’t touch it.

  • Find local farms or CSA boxes that avoid chemical coatings and harvest fresh.

  • Support stores and co-ops that actively refuse Apeel-covered produce.

  • Always ask questions. If the sticker isn’t there, that doesn’t mean the coating isn’t.

Better yet? Choose foods that don’t need to be coated to stay shelf-stable. Carnivore Bar doesn’t spoil. It doesn’t need a chemical coating. It’s just real meat, real fat, and real salt—designed by nature, not a lab.

This is a disgrace.
And it highlights something we’ve seen time and time again: the institutions entrusted with our health do not have our best interests at heart.

The rise of Apeel is just another red flag in a long line of toxic food innovations pushed on the public under the guise of “sustainability.” But you can opt out. You can choose local, regenerative, and transparent.

And yes—you can know your farmer.
